There are a number of answers to that question, depending on the kinds of elements that might do harm that you're referring to. They have many agreed to stardards regarding organisations they work with to ensure they share the same ethos. So they don't work with organisations who would impose things on them that could harm their sustainability.
Second, they reserve the right to expel members if the group agrees that they are acting in ways which go against the collective's ethos in some fundemental way, which to my knowledge has happened only once and was a complete last resort (and in that instance the person being kicked doesn't have veto rights regarding that decision, naturally).
